This was a great hotel. I stayed there as a child in the 1960's a number of times. I remember all of the people working there were so kind and helpful. The elevator operators were among my favorite people. They always had a smile and a kind word. The restaurant on the lower flour had the best ham sandwiches I have ever had. I must say though I loved almost all my memories there, I have one that was not the best. Sometimes when we ate there my mom would let me pick a desert out of the display that was in the restaurant. All looked so beautiful, but I never choose one I liked. The artwork of the display fooled me. I should have chose the ones that were not so fancy but I could not resets the chiefs artistry. I can remember eating in the ski room and loving the view at night of Lima. What a wonderful city!
